In this 5-session class, taught by KH’s Herb Levine, you will discover two different writers (or schools of writers) responsible for the Book of Leviticus, as it has come down to us. When and where did they live and write? What different visions of holiness and the sacred did they hold? What was their relationship to each other? This class is intended for those who are willing to prepare the assigned material before class, either alone or with a regular study partner. The preferred text for preparation is the Jewish Study Bible (Oxford Univ. Press), which can be ordered wherever books are sold.
Please register here. Zoom link and additional information will be sent to you later.

In the midst of the stresses of life and uncertainty we seek peace.
Shalom, peace, is a foundational Jewish value. Learn with Rabbi Sigal about Jewish contemplative traditions for cultivating peace. She will teach, inspire, lead guided meditations and facilitate a discussion. You will learn valuable new ways for your own peace, contentment, and joy.
All are welcome. No meditation experience is necessary. In-person downtown Sarasota. Space is limited. Must Register below.
Twice each season, members are invited to attend a Shabbat dinner in the homes of fellow congregants.
All who wish to attend are assigned a host. The hosts coordinate the menu with their guests so that everybody contributes part of the meal.
It is an opportunity to share Shabbat with food, blessings and song, and get to know people you might not otherwise know. New members are especially encouraged to sign up to meet new friends.
Please let us know if you are able to attend and/or host by completing the information below.

Rosh Chodesh (the new moon of every month of the Jewish calendar) has been celebrated as Jewish womens’ special time for centuries.
KH’s Rosh Chodesh gatherings are an opportunity to make new friends and keep up relationships among the women of our community. Each meeting consists of a short service, followed by a presentation and/or discussion on a topic selected by the group, and time for shmoozing.
Please join us on the third Tuesday of each month, 2:00 PM.
