Twice each season, members are invited to attend a Shabbat dinner in the homes of fellow congregants. All who wish to attend are assigned a host. The hosts coordinate the menu with their guests so that everybody contributes part of the meal. It is an opportunity to share Shabbat with food, blessings and song, and get to know people you might not otherwise know. New members are especially encouraged to sign up to meet new friends.
Volunteer hosts are encouraged to contact the coordinators, Kayla Niles or Jean Adelson.
Our 2023-2024 season dates will be January 19 and April 5.
Whether you are an “old-timer” or a new member, you surely don’t know everything about all your fellow congregants. This is an opportunity for those who want to share their stories and those who want to hear them. In a community where we are like family, what a delight to get to know that person sitting next to you at services, and have a nice lunch at a local restaurant. The featured speakers and schedule are listed below.
Sign up when the listing appears in the newsletter.
The coordinator for this program is KH member, Linda Milberg.

Books and Bagels is a monthly KH book club featuring an assortment of fiction and non-fiction books on Jewish related topics, chosen by a committee of participants and led and discussed by our members. All members and friends of the congregation are invited to explore the world of Jewish books in a warm and friendly book group that meets on the first Sunday of each month during season. This year we will meet on Zoom in October, November, May and June and return to meeting in members’ homes in high season, so the bagels will be back! We take a summer break from July to September.

Rosh Chodesh (the new moon of every month of the Jewish calendar) has been celebrated as Jewish womens’ special time for centuries.
KH’s Rosh Chodesh gatherings are an opportunity to make new friends and keep up relationships among the women of our community. Each meeting consists of a short service, followed by a presentation and/or discussion on a topic selected by the group, and time for shmoozing.
Monthly meetings will be listed in the bulletin.
New members are always welcome.
Contact the coordinator, Anne Schimberg, for more information.
Bob and Ann Lieberman will once again be hosting monthly film programs at their home. Pre-Covid film nights were always standing room only (16-18 people) so reservations are needed. Films of Jewish interest will be introduced (al la Turner Classic Movies) and followed by discussion, once a month on Wednesday evenings at 6:45, beginning in October. Movie noshes are always available.
Experience has shown that attendees lean towards comedies, although some more serious films will be included. Each film night will be listed in the bulletin with a reservation link.
Contact Ann and Bob for information, etc.
Possible choices for the upcoming season include:
