It is a new Jewish year 5787!
On Rosh Hashanah we celebrate the birthday of the world. The mythical birthday story of our world. When we come together for our observances this month, we also celebrate life and community. We find a voice of enduring hope, while we reflect on the ups and downs of the past year. We are gentle and determined to make our lives a blessing in the year of 5787.
I wish us all a good new year. May we be inspired to really live each day fully, and do what we can to mend our souls and the world. May we reach out to one another with courage and kindness.
We are all in this together.
