As a small congregation, we call upon our members to assume responsibilities and to initiate and carry out many special events/ongoing activities that might be handled by paid staff in a larger synagogue. Working together in teams and on committees, our members are rewarded with a sense of gratification when they use their particular skills. They also enjoy a sense of empowerment by taking charge. At the same time, they develop meaningful relationships with each other. It’s a “win-win”!
Our variety of interest groups and committees provide opportunities for members to employ their particular skills in benefiting the entire congregation. Many of our committees are ongoing, others, ad hoc.
