 A. He received his BA in Economics from the University of California at Da
 vis and his PhD in Economics from Claremont Graduate School. He taught eco
 nomics at universities for 40 years and served as the chair of the Economi
 cs Department at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He has authored nume
 rous journal articles primarily in the area of public economics or public 
 finance. Public economics uses the concepts of economics to explain and ev
 aluate government taxes and expenditures.\n\nHe was Bar Mitsvahed and conf
 ormed in a classic reformed temple. As an adult he and his family first be
 longed to reformed congregations\, but later joined a conservative congreg
 ation. However\, he has derived the most joy from and feels the strongest 
 connection to Kol HaNeshama.\n\nDonald joined the KH Board in 2020 and was
  elected president in 2021
