 ver the hidden origins of the book of Deuteronomy and why scholars believe
  it was written at a later age in the voice of Moses. Explore sections in 
 the books of Kings and Deuteronomy in English and engage in discussions ab
 out the texts and the scholars’ views. Before each session\, participant
 s will receive a reading assignment with helpful guiding questions. Prepar
 e for the sessions on your own or partner with another.\n\nDr. Herb Levine
  is a life-long student of the Bible as literature. He has taught adult co
 urses on the subject for over forty years. He was trained in literary stud
 ies at Harvard and Princeton and has published scholarly works on Psalms\,
  Whitman and Yeats.
